Timothy M. McMurray
Chief Operating Officer

Do what you love. And, if you happen to love beer and marijuana, well, that’s even better. That might sound like a lead-in to a movie, but it’s actually a Colorado success story. Tim started as a managing partner and talent buyer for Mountain Sun Pubs. He grew an 800 barrel brewpub with 20 employees to 3500 barrels and 350 employees. Great numbers, indeed. He then joined Canyon in 2016, where he’s implemented those tried and true growth strategies at the THC pioneer to boost sales, brand presence and net profits. Poised for more growth, Tim and Canyon are ready to fly high.

Tim is also an Eagle Scout. Oddly enough, he has a badge for being selected as one of Boulder Valley’s Forty under 40 for emerging leaders that make a difference in their companies, industries and communities. His passions also flow into fundraising for local public radio station KGNU and the Nature Conservancy.

Andrew Iwersen
Owner | Operator

People skills. Getting the very best from yourself, and those around you. That’s how Andrew has developed his career. He spent a decade keeping customers happy behind the bar and helping to open some of the finest steak houses in the country - like Angelo and Maxies in Phoenix to Capital Grille in Phoenix and Denver. Additionally, as Instructor, then Director at the Denver School of Massage, Andrew has always had a knack for getting the best out of every opportunity.

Speaking of opportunities, when he joined Canyon as Sales Director in 2014, he took the company from $500K in sales to over $1.5 million in less than a year. More recent years are no different, growing at a staggering 25-30% year to year. His ongoing client relations role continues to show his ability to shine in this up and coming new industry.

Morgan Iwersen
Owner | CEO

Morgan's early work in the high-end hospitality and food and beverage industry paved the way for her success as a true Colorado cannabis pioneer. She launched Canyon into the medical cannabis sector in 2009, only a short time after legalization. Growing from nothing, and withholding her salary for 3 years, Morgan and her team grew Canyon over 400% in the first few years, while tackling every part of the business.

Today, the Canyon brand is an award-winning edibles staple, known for their product variety, great taste, quality, and impeccable reliability of dosing. They continually win honors, including THC Classic’s Top 3 Edibles, The Cannabist People’s Choice Favorite Edible and Dope Cup 2nd Place Best Drink. As a flag-bearer for the industry, she is leading the way for future entrepreneurs and forging partnerships to bring medical and recreational cannabis to other states and Canada.
